North Texas Arts Festival - 2023

Thank you for your interest in North Texas Arts Festival 2023! This is a new initiative by the Denison Arts Council to provide local, regional, and national 2-D and 3-D artists, collectives, and galleries an opportunity to display and sell their works within a historical backdrop rich in culture. Local, wineries, breweries, and eateries will be dispersed among the festival in order to showcase all that North Texas has to offer.

Each artist/ Collective/ gallery will be asked to submit 4 to 5 works of original art, and one image of their booth display to be juried into our festival.

A 10 x 10 space will be provided to accepted applicants. Any additional structure must be provided, set up, and broken down by the artist.

Artist collectives and galleries may apply with one application provided that all original artists work is displayed.

All artists will be responsible for processing their own sales transactions.

Event details:

When: May 6, 2023

Where: Denison, Texas; Katy Depot and surrounding area  (110 block of West Main Street)

Cost: $100 for a 10 foot x10 foot outdoor space (any structure must be provided by artist/ vendor). $125 for food trucks

Time: 10 AM to 6 PM

Set up time: 7 AM to 9:30 AM (Artist will be responsible for their own load in/out, set up, and breakdown) volunteers with the DAC will provide maps to vendor sites at the beginning of set up.

Show Policies - Please Read Carefully

  • You are responsible for booth content. Be prepared to protect artwork and display in event of bad weather. If tent is used, ensure it is secured. The Denison arts Council, City Of Denison, and Katy Depot are not responsible for damages due to weather, or unrelated incidents. Only one application is allowed per space. Artists Must be present with their work on the day of the show.
  • Booth area must be free of clutter and garbage on all sides of space, and artwork must be displayed in a professional manner.
  • Due to limited maneuverability, Artist must quickly unload trailer/vehicles and remove their car for set up and completely tear down before retrieving their car at show end.
  • Works must be original, and conceived, designed and Executed by the exhibitor – therefore, commercially produced kit items are not permitted.
  • Artist misrepresenting themselves from what they submitted will be asked to break down their tent and leave immediately.
  • Giclée prints must be identified as such, and be limited, with an emphasis on original work.
